Ato Koomson, the son of Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, who doubles as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Mavis Hawa Koomson, is in critical condition and has been rushed to 37 Military Hospital after he was been stabbed by some NDC members while another person also stabbed on his hand.
Both Parties forms queue for it’s members after every day exercise with chairs.
Police source says,the confusion started on who to sit on the chairs first.
The unfortunate incident happened in front of Awutu Senya East EC office in the ongoing voters Transfer exercise
Sources says, the confusion started around 4:00am and lasted for over 45 minutes before the victim arrived at the Registration Center around 5:00am.
In an interview with one of the NPP members King Adawu, who sustain injuries on the hand after he tried to block the Knife said, when Ato Koomsom arrived at the Scene he approached the NDC organizer to smoke peace with him when another NDC members started insulting the victim and his mother.
King Adawu said, Ato Koomson told one of the suspects stop insulting his mother since her mother doesn’t have anything to do with the confusion.
King Adawu,
revealed that, during a peaceful discussion between Ato Koomson and NDC organizer,one of the NDC members led by one Asmah pulled out a Knife and stabbed the chest of the victim.
King Adawu said, he tried to block the knife but couldn’t that led to his injury.
King Adawu has been treated and discharged while Ato Koomson is in critical condition and has been sent to 37 Military Hospital.
