Felix Annan Charges New Kotoko Players To Give Their All To Club

1 HOUR AGO  FOOTBALL NEWS

Captain for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan has charged new recruits of the club to give their all when called upon to feature in matches to ensure they take advantage of the opportunities that the team gives to its players.

The management of the Porcupine Warriors signed over 10 players this summer to strengthen their squad for their participation in this year’s CAF Champions League.

With the Kelvin Andoh, Richard Arthur, Justice Blay, George Abege and the likes coming in to replace some players who just left the club, Annan insist that the new recruits must take full advantage of the privilege to play for Kotoko because it will give them the exposure they need to take their various careers to the next level.

“This is a big club. This is Asante Kotoko. Players come and go. Coaches come and go. If you are there you know you always have to do your best. For me I always tell the new guys that you are here, some came and have done their job and they are no more here”.

“You are here today so when you play and you play good you will get the exposure and then you will get good opportunities. For me, it’s just simple. Nobody needs to encourage you. No one needs to give you motivation when you play for Kotoko because when you play every game the expectation is always high”.

“When you want to become a big player and you have the chance to play for Kotoko, you have to be privileged and you have to do your best. It’s just a simple message to them. Just give out your best and then your career will change”, the highly-rated goalkeeper shared in a post-match interview after they beat Kano Pillars 2-0 on Sunday.

After eliminating Kano Pillars from the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, the Ghana Premier League giants have booked a date with Tunisia side Etoile du Sahel in the second round.
