29103782Footsoldiers of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are threatening to boycott party activities following an exposé by the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor that the President gifted her cars and a house.

According to the aggrieved grassroot members, if the claim of Madam Donkor is anything to go by, then “the party has taken us for granted”.

President Mahama has come under intense pressure after Akua Donkor claimed he gave her two Mitsubishi Pajeros and a house at Sakumono in Accra.

The gift she explained in an interview on Adom TV, is in appreciation of her hard work and vigorous campaign for President Mahama ahead of the December 7 general elections.

But some NDC members in the Western and Northern regions in an interview on Adom News said, Akua Donkor is “reaping the fruits of their labour”.

They claim they are yet to also have their share of the national cake after working assiduously especially in the hinterlands to get President Mahama elected.

“We have been working for the party since 2000 and we ensured NDC won the 2008 and 2012 elections but we are living in misery so it is very painful to hear the President bought cars and a house for Akua Donkor” they bemoaned.

Also, organizers of NDC Motor Riders in the Northern region are upset after hearing the news.

They have threatened to boycott the party’s electioneering campaign if they are not given all the things promised by the national executives.

The aggrieved footsoldiers have also issued a week ultimatum to President Mahama to respond to Akua Donkor’s wild allegations or face their wrath.
