Versatile Black Queens defender, Linda Eshun has affirmed their determination to clinch this year’s African Women’s Nations Cup.
The Queens have shown glimpses of a championship winning team in the competition following their impressive wins over Kenya and Mali and drew with bitterest rivals Nigeria in the group stage.
With the form the team has shown I’m the competition gives Linda hope that they are well on course to win their maiden trophy but first have to solve the puzzle of home nation Cameroon today in the semifinals.
“We are well determined to bring the trophy to Ghana,” says Linda on Asempa FM.
“We’re well prepared mentally to bring the cup home, the mood in camp is good, and we hope everything ends well for us.”
“We know it’s not easy to play against home team especially at this stage of the competition, but we know how to face this challenge because we’ve played against them a few times and won, and latest being the 1-0 we beat them in the finals of the All African Games last year.”
