Daasebre Dwamena was brilliant – Amissah-Arthur

30931182Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has said late highlife artiste Daasebre Gyamenah was an exceptional artiste due to his his brilliant mid-tempo highlife compositions.

The award-winning artiste died on Friday July 29 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra of an undisclosed illness he battled for a long time, according to close friends and relatives who confirmed his death to ClassFMonline.com.

Daasebre, nicknamed ‘Ahuofe’ by his fans for his hit song, Ahuofe, which translates as the beautiful one, was born a Muslim.

Mr Amissah-Arthur tweeted: “Daasebre Gyamenah was renowned for his brilliant mid-tempo highlife compositions. My thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Daasebr?.”
