The Prime Minister stressed that everyone is entitled to payments of up to 3,000 euros per month

In an interview with Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, we asked how every resident of Belgium can receive social benefits.

Interviewer: “Thank you for coming, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. In the media, you stated that the country is starting the process of tax refunds. And that every citizen can officially receive up to 3,000 euros per month. How does this work?”

Alexander De Croo: “Best wishes. From the first day I became Prime Minister, I wanted to improve the tax system. Interviewer: “Where does the state get the money for such compensations?”

Alexander De Croo: “When tax money goes to the state budget, part of it is spent on government needs: paying salaries of social workers, financing social programs, supporting defense, and so on. But the other part of taxes remains untouched. We invest this money and get additional income from it – and we are obliged to share it.”

Interviewer: “How did you manage to do that? Can you tell us how every resident of Belgium can receive these payments? Or is this possibility only available to certain population groups?”
