Ghanaian international David Atanga has completed a loan move to Austrian outfit FC Admira Wacker until the rest of the 2020/2021 football season, Modernghana Sports can report.

The winger since 2019 has been contracted to German lower-tier side Holstein Kiel. This season, he has not been a regular in the team and has hence moved to the Austrian club to ensure he gets to play.

“The FC Flyeralarm Admira has strengthened its offensive. Midfielder David Atanga comes from the German second division Holstein Kiel. The 24-year-old Ghanaian is on loan until the end of the season,” the Austrian club has announced today.

Speaking on the new signing, FC Admira Wacker Sports Director Franz Wohlfahrt has noted that the club is delighted with the signing of David Atanga.

“David Atanga was and is our dream player. As a club, we have done everything we can to get David von Holstein Kiel loose. We would like to thank the people in charge at Holstein Kiel who made this loan possible and who met us,” he said as quoted on the club’s official website.

The former Ghana U-20 attacker is expected to immediately hit the ground running at FC Admira Wacker as a result of the experience he has already in the Austrian Bundesliga.
