Ghanaian international Rashid Sumaila is one of three players shortlisted for the Al-Qadsiya ‘Player of the Season’ award for the 2019/2020 top-flight campaign in Kuwait.
The dependable midfielder joined the club in 2015 and has spent most of his stay on loan with clubs such as Al-Gharafa and Red Star Belgrade.
Following an outstanding stint in Serbia last season, he returned to Al Qadsiya and has been a key member for the club this season.
Prior to the suspension of the campaign due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease, he had established himself as one of the best players in his team and in the Kuwaiti top-flight league as well.
Ahead of the climax of the season, Rashid Sumaila has been nominated for the Player of the Season award at his club.
The Black Stars asset is set to battle his teammates Ahmed Al-Daferi and Badeer Al-Motowaa who have been equally good for the top award.
The 27-year-old has made 19 appearances this season and has a goal to his name. He boasts of as many as 5 MoTM awards and remains a favorite to pick up the Player of the Season gong at Al Qadsiya
