Former Commonwealth and African champion, Isaac Ekpo has been signed onto the promotional label of the legendary promoter, Don King Promotions.
The deal for the Ghanaian-based Nigerian boxer was put through by his manager and promoter, Anthony Kermah of Landmark Promotions.
The boxer expressed gratitude to Landmark Promotions and his former coach, the late Godwin Kotey Dzanie, for bringing him this far.
The fighter has vowed to make the legendary Don King happy by winning big bouts for him.
Ekpo, a super middleweight contender, was billed to fight current WBO super middleweight champion, Gilberto Ramirez, last Saturday but it fell through.
But the 33-year-old hard hitter known as the “Grenade” said he was not daunted by the disappointment saying his manager will work things for him.
Ekpo is currently ranked five in the world by the WBA and is eyeing an epic clash with British George Groves.
